About Us

North Turramurra FC and Gordon FC are long‑standing, thriving community football clubs with deep roots in the Ku‑ring‑gai area. Both clubs recognised the need to broaden their football pathways, particularly for members seeking higher‑level development opportunities to extend their footballing experience.

Through a series of discussions, it became clear that the two clubs shared highly compatible cultures, philosophies and values. Combined with their size and scale, a joint development partnership emerged as a strong and sustainable model for delivering enhanced opportunities to local players. Each club consulted with its committees, stakeholders and wider membership, and the proposal was overwhelmingly supported.

To ensure players receive high‑quality, development‑focused coaching, the partnership engaged Vision Football, a respected coaching organisation known for its qualified staff and strong track record in youth development. Their involvement strengthens the program’s technical standards and provides players with a consistent, professional training environment.

The partnership was formally endorsed by the Northern Suburbs Football Association in November 2024, and Ku‑ring‑gai Phoenix FC was launched in 2025. Since then, the program has seen exceptional talent rise from within both clubs and the broader Ku‑ring‑gai community, reflecting the strength of the collaboration and the shared commitment to player development.

Player info

U 9s 2026

Ku-ring-gai Phoenix offers a development pathway for players who want to take their football further. Players benefit from a more competitive football experience in a positive, values-based environment—the best of both worlds!

1. What does playing for Phoenix involve?
Players selected for a Phoenix team are expected to attend two trainings sessions per week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at NTRA. Training begins in mid-February. Players must also be available for weekly matches: Saturdays for mixed teams and Sundays for girls’ teams.

2. How is this different from my community club?
Phoenix teams compete at a higher level and have two professional training sessions each week. Teams compete in the following leagues:
  • U8–U11: Junior Development League (JDL)
  • G10 and G11: Girls Junior Development League (GJDL)
  • G12: Diamond League
  • U12 and above: Development Squad teams in Division 2

3. Who coaches the Phoenix teams?
Teams train twice a week with expert Vision Football coaches. Team coaches are also present at weekend matches.

4. What do Phoenix players wear?
Players wear grey shorts and socks. They train in the charcoal-dominant jersey and wear the pink-dominant jersey for matches.
Phoenix hoodies and additional kit items are available to purchase. Players pay for their kit, which is theirs to keep. See more information about kit here

5. What does the Phoenix program cost?
The total cost per player for the season—which runs for approximately six months—is $1,350–$1,600.
The cost includes twice-weekly professional training, a game-day coach, association and team fees, ground hire, player insurance and club administration fees.

6. When do we need to decide?
Players selected following the November trials will need to accept their offer and pay a deposit to secure their place. The acceptance period will be short—likely 24–48 hours.
The remaining balance is payable before the season begins in February.
